About coral
A solid and total focus on customer satisfaction has been at the heart of Coral™’s continued success.
It was the 1980’s and uPVC double glazing was becoming increasingly popular. Many of the joinery and aluminium companies were quickly jumping on the band wagon and changing to uPVC products. But whilst these companies were quick to reap the rewards many of their ethics left a little to be desired.
It was at this time whilst working for another company, John Valente, and his former business partner, decided that they could provide customers with a service that was different; ‘no pressure selling and putting the customer first’ was going to be their motto and with this Coral™ Windows was born. Starting out from Perseverance Mill in Wibsey, which is now the home to Coral™s Glass Manufacturing Plant, business was brisk from the beginning, the low-key approach and good customer service ethics paid dividends.
Within the first two years, Coral™ had moved to a former mill on Halifax Road, with 40,000 sq.ft. of office and manufacturing space. This has been home to Coral™ now for the past 17 years and is a well-known landmark that overlooks the Bradford skyline. Coral™ Mill, as it is so fondly known, is still the company’s Head Office and houses its own Manufacturing Plant as well as one of the largest indoor Window and Conservatory showrooms in the area.
The company has, over the years, achieved many accolades. The most recent being the prestigious kite mark from The British Standards Institute for the Installation of Windows and Doors. When you consider the thousands of companies out there and the fact that they are one of only 30 to be awarded throughout the whole of the UK, its magnitude speaks volumes.
A bright outlook for the future for Coral™
Whilst Coral™ Windows & Conservatories, as it is known today, has grown in size through the years, with other show sites now in Huddersfield, Wakefield, York and their recently opened prestigious Otley site. Its now sole owner, Mr John Valente believes that the morals and ethics he portrayed in the early days have stood the company in good stead. And todays mission statement "to treat the customer as we would like to be treated ourselves" should see Coral Windows around for years to come.
