Coral Window Security for Double Glazing and Conservatory Windows systems:

At Coral™ all our products are manufactured using tested and proven methods of crime prevention. Our window sashes are produced with shoot bolt locks and hinge bolts. The shoot bolt lock offers both shoot bolt and mushroom cam locking, this together with a key locking handle makes for a very secure window. The hinge bolt further enhance this by making the hinge side of the opener as secure as the lock side, a feature which is often overlooked by many window companies.

All Coral™ windows are internally beaded (this is where the glass is held from the inside) and is considered more secure and burglar resistant than an externally beaded window. If a windows is externally beaded it relies on the glass being held in position from the outside by means of an internal wedge gasket or double sided glazing tape. This holds the external bead in place and can be easily removed by an undesirable intruder.

With break-ins from cylinder attack on the increase, the MUL-T-LOCK break secure cylinder increases the level of security on traditional euro profile cylinder profiles after attack. Developed to overcome problems found in PVCu and stormproof doors, but suitable for all door types, the MUL-T-LOCK break secure cylinder is available in a variety of sizes across the range.

BREAK SECURE

MUL-T-LOCK has developed the break secure cylinder, which has been specifically designed to withstand attack from burglars. Dion McAllister, Managing Director of MUL-T-LOCK, explains:

“Locksmiths and police forces throughout the country have increasingly been reporting burglaries where Euro Profile cylinders have been targeted. While we don’t want to panic homeowners, this is a problem which we have taken very seriously and feel that everyone should be aware of.”

The Break Secure cylinder can be fitted to PVCu windows and doors, where Euro Profile cylinders are commonly used, and is designed to carry on working even if the cylinder is damaged by attack. The new Break Secure cylinder is designed to be a direct replacement for an existing cylinder, with no other works required to the door or lock. The Break Secure cylinder can be keyed alike with other cylinders or padlocks from the MUL-T-LOCK range.
